Printmaking Project

This was a very lateral project. However it was difficult to try to figure out what part of the drawing you wanted to have ink on. I think I made the right decision on where to cut out. The lines of the web really contrasted the darkness of the spider. The only thing I regret about this piece is that I did not add more of the foliage to the backdrop. Otherwise I think this was quite successful.

Frog Tongue

This project was pretty cool. It was very similar to the Angry Pancakes one that we also did in photoshop. I had a few problems getting it to work and working on the correct layer. I think that was the hardest part for most people. I really like the end result though.

Angry Pancakes

I enjoyed this project because it was very different than the ones we have done before. It was cool working on the computers and having a multitude of tools to work with. It also made it very easy to understand with the video. Its also cool that every ones project turned out differently even with the same program.

Stencil

This project was difficult for me because it was hard to figure out which parts of the stencil to cut out. I really enjoyed the spray painting though. I learned to really pay attention to detail and think more thouroughly before executing something as permanant as it was with the stencils. Because of this I believe that this project was not as sucessful as previous projects.

Contour Shoe Drawing

The contour drawings really helped me to be aware of what I am drawing and how I am drawing it. It helped show the things that worked and didn't when drawing. The blind contours really helped because I really started looking at what I am drawing rather than assuming that it is the same as the other things I have drawn before.

iPad Value Study

This is very similar to using real oil pastels because of the smudge tool on the Layers App. If it lacked this tool it would not have been as good of a program. I believe that it is easier to use real oil pastels because you can control the pressure, but I also liked the App because it was not messy. I do not like messy things.
